Theatre Remounts Lauded Production of Othello

Outside view of the Theatre for a New Audience

Theatre for a New Audience’s production of Othello closed March 7 after a sold-out run at The Duke on 42nd Street, but has not seen the last of its performances. The Theatre will remount the celebrated production, helmed by the Theatre’s Associate Artistic Director Arin Arbus, to play April 15-24 at the same venue with its original cast.

In his New York Times review, critic Charles Isherwood called the production √¢‚Ǩ≈ì…among the most sensitively directed, eloquently designed and impeccably acted productions of a Shakespeare tragedy that the city has seen in years.√¢‚Ǩ¬ù √¢‚Ǩ≈ìArbus,√¢‚Ǩ¬ù he adds, √¢‚Ǩ≈ìmakes an extraordinary Off-Broadway debut with this production.√¢‚Ǩ¬ù
