On Wednesday, July 23, friends of Theatre for a New Audience gathered on the Great White Way for an exclusive theatre event.
First, attendees saw a performance of Boeing-Boeing at the Longacre Theatre.  The show won two 2008 Tony Awards: Best Revival of a Play and Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play, Mark Rylance.
Following the show, the entire cast, including Bradley Whitford, Christine Baranski, Mary McCormack, and others, joined attendees at a nearby restaurant for intimate cocktails, supper, and conversation.  Special guests of the cast included Top Girls stars Marisa Tomei and Martha Plimpton.
Mark Rylance, a long-time Theatre for a New Audience Artistic Council member, generously pulled the event together in support of our Capital Campaign, Shakespeare Works in Brooklyn: The Campaign for a Permanent Home in the BAM Cultural District.  Proceeds from the event went towards building our new home, breaking ground in Spring 2009.
