Summertime may have started with early June’s heat wave, but Brooklyn’s Dreamers officially kicked off the season with their annual Summer Bash on June 18. Held at the Forté Condos in Fort Greene, the party overlooked the site of Theatre for a New Audience’s new home in the BAM Cultural District.

Revelers from all walks of Brooklyn life attended: neighborhood residents, local artists, and some of our future Cultural District neighboring organizations.

During the early evening rain, everyone roamed between two gorgeous penthouses, admiring the work of eight local artists in our Brooklyn Artists Gallery, including an interactive mural by Mary Klein that attendees helped to fill in. By sunset, the skies cleared and party-goers went up to the roof deck to take in the incredible view of Brooklyn and join in a game of giant dominoes.

A big thanks to our sponsors: the office of the Brooklyn Borough President, Brooklyn Brewery, Forte Condos, and Gnarly Vines. Also, many thanks to the exhibiting artists for sharing their work: Joseph Anastasi, Audrey Anastasi, Jesse Green, Mary Klein, Tom Pearson & Zach Morris, Annie Purcell, Kenya Robinson, and Shannon Stearman.
