Bianca Vivion: Reflections

For each production, commentator and essayist Bianca Vivion will host a post-performance discussion at Fulton Hall with guests from the worlds of the arts and activism, lensing the work on our stage through the political and cultural questions that matter to a rising generation of New Yorkers.

Bianca Vivion is a writer, artist, and producer based in Harlem, New York. Born in Los Angeles and later raised between Atlanta and Oakland, Vivion was marked from an early age as an imaginative storyteller and formidable thinker. At 14 she began as a commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered, and at 18 went on to become the youngest staff-opinion writer in the history of the New York Times. In 2019, Vivion served as a judge for the New York Times’ & CNN’s Democratic presidential primary debates. Now at 27, Vivion is producing and hosting a new talk show, Generational Anxiety, on WNET/ All Arts. She also hosts “Ask Viv,” an advice & culture podcast that tackles large themes such as coming of age, the spiritual costs of modernity, and love.
