The 2009 Lucille Lortel Award nominations have been announced, and Theatre for a New Audience has been honored with ten nominations for our work this season—more than any other company!
Othello, which performed a sold-out run earlier this year and returns this month for a sold-out remount at The Duke on 42nd Street, received six nominations, including Outstanding Revival. Chair, which played at the same theatre in December, received four nominations.
The Lortel Awards, recognizing outstanding work Off-Broadway, will be presented on Sunday, May 3 at the Marriott Marquis. This year’s ceremony will benefit The Actors Fund.
