The Spotlight’s on… Hugh Hardy

hardy.jpgHugh Hardy is the founder of H3 Hardy Collaboration Architecture, and is known for his prolific career designing distinctive new buildings, restoring historic structures and planning projects for the public realm. He has worked on the Theatre for a New Audience Capital Project since its inception.

Over his 40 year career, Mr. Hardy has made many important contributions to design, and his work is consistently recognized by civic, architectural and preservation organizations for its progressive spirit and understanding of context. His work in Brooklyn includes the restoration of BAM’s Harvey Theater and the façade of BAM’s Opera House. In Manhattan, he designed the restoration of Radio City Music Hall, the New Victory Theater and the New Amsterdam Theatre, among many others. His many awards and honors include the 2007 Distinguished Achievement Award in Theatre Design from the U.S. Institute for Theatre Technology.
