Notes from Underground Comes to New York

Outside view of the Theatre for a New Audience

Kicking off our 31st season, Theatre for a New Audience is thrilled to present Notes from Underground, an acclaimed production by Yale Repertory Theater, produced in association with the Baryshnikov Arts Center.

Featuring Bill Camp (Sore Throats) and directed by Robert Woodruff (The Changeling, Saved, Chair, Orpheus X), the production is an adaptation from the novella by Fyodor Dostoevsky which tells the story of one of modern literature’s first and most remarkable antiheros: the Underground Man, a former government official who has defiantly withdrawn from a corrupt society. Laugh-out-loud funny and terrifying, Notes from Underground is the passionate, obsessive and contradictory confession of a tormented soul.

The production runs from November 7 to 20 at the Barishnikov Arts Center Jerome Robbins Theater. For tickets and more information, please visit www.tfana.org/nfu.html.
