John Douglas Thompson and Annika Boras will star as the title character and his ambitious wife in the Theatre’s upcoming production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The show, directed by Arin Arbus (Othello, Measure for Measure), begins previews at The Duke on 42nd Street on March 12, and the production opens on March 20 for a run through April 22.
Thompson won OBIE and Lucille Lortel awards for Othello, and Boras appeared in our production of Chair, for which she received a Lucille Lortel nomination for outstanding featured actress.
The cast will also feature Albert Jones as Macduff and Graham Winton as Banquo, along with Justin Blanchard, Denis Butkus, Peter Jay Fernandez, Ian Holcomb, Robert Langdon Lloyd, John Christopher Jones, Saxon Palmer, Roslyn Ruff, Christian Rummel, Tommy Schrider, Andrew Zimmerman, and Marquis Rodriguez.
