Ash K. Tata
Ash K. Tata (they/ze) is a theatre and opera director whose work has appeared on stages around the world including at Miller Theater, Carnegie Hall, The Wexner, LA Opera, The Summerscape, Big Ears, Crossing the Line, Holland Festival, and The National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing. Tata’s online production of Mad Forest was described by Ben Brantley in The New York Times as “fervently inventive.” Tata’s DOM JUAN was described as a production that “reaches out across the centuries and punches you in the throat” (New York Times), with other reviews citing other stage works as “extraordinarily powerful” (LA Times), and a notable production of the decade (The New Yorker).
